NRLW Late Mail: Round 6 v Dragons

The Sharks have received a huge boost for today's NRLW local derby against the Dragons at Jubilee Stadium, with superstar fullback Emma Verran cleared to return from a foot injury.

With Verran back in the run-on side after missing last week's defeat to the Broncos, New Zealand international Tyla King will revert to the bench as a utility.

In turn, Dominique du Toit has been bumped from the interchange to 18th woman duties, while Tommaya Kelly-Sines has dropped off the reserves list.

Kick-off is at 12.45pm.

Initially published Tuesday, August 5:

Sharks NRLW coach Tony Herman has announced his squad for an Indigenous Round local derby against the Dragons at Jubilee Stadium in Kogarah on Saturday afternoon.

After a gutsy defeat to the Broncos in Magic Round, injury has again forced Cronulla into changes. Captain Tiana Penitani Gray (concussion protocols) will miss the match, with Grace-Lee Weekes named in her place at centre.

In positive news, Annessa Biddle is set to play despite being forced off in the second half against Brisbane with a shoulder complaint, while New Zealand lock Brooke Anderson and interchange front-rower Stephanie Faulkner are back on deck after sitting out last week due to head knocks.

Star fullback Emma Verran has been included on the extended bench as she pushes to return from a foot injury, with Tyla King listed in the No.1 jersey.

Kick-off is scheduled for 12.45pm, followed by an NRL clash between the same teams at 3pm. Catch the NRLW action on 9, 9Now, Foxtel and Kayo.
