While a record fifth consecutive regional win wasn't to be at last night's ClubsNSW Perfect Plate Awards, Sharks at Kareela's Cove Bar & Grill affirmed its standing as one of the state's premier eateries with second place in the hotly-contested dessert category.
The venue's delectable Dubai Chocolate Gelato offering, created by head chef Anita Lisson, was honoured at a glamorous ceremony at Panthers League Club. Kiama Leagues Club's Sails Bistro took out the main prize.
The Dubai Chocolate Gelato features pure pistachio cream, shredded kataifi, sweetened milk and fresh strawberries. The scrumptious dish is still on the menu ($18 Members) – come and try one of NSW's best desserts!
Cove Bar & Grill, owned by Gina Louloudakis, was shooting for five consecutive victories in the Southern Metro main dish category with a mouthwatering Humpty Doo Barramundi, accompanied by roast herb chat potatoes and burnt butter.
Despite being pipped for the top honour by The Pinnacle at South Hurstville RSL Club, the outstanding Humpty Doo Barramundi has received rave reviews from Sharks at Kareela patrons. Treat yourself today for only $34 (Members price).
Perfect Plate winners were decided by diners, who rated eligible dishes from one to five using a QR code. The dishes that received the highest average score in their respective categories were crowned at Wednesday evening's presentation.
