Sharks prop Filomina Hanisi will miss the remainder of the NRLW season after scans confirmed a ruptured ACL.

Hanisi suffered the injury early in the second half of Thursday night's Round 1 defeat to the Eels, shortly after scoring her first career try.

The 24-year-old will undergo surgery to repair the knee. Her absence opens a spot on the bench for Saturday's clash with the Raiders in Canberra.

Meanwhile, marquee recruit Tyla King is aiming to return from a Grade 2 calf injury in Round 4.
