After returning to form against the Warriors last week, the Jersey Flegg Sharks will host the Kaiviti Silktails on Thursday night with an opportunity to cement their place near the top of the ladder.

The game will take place before the Cronulla-St George Illawarra NRL clash at Sharks Stadium, with kick-off at 5.25pm. Gates open at 5.15pm.

Boasting a 10-3 record, Cronulla's under 21s sit in fourth position but are only one competition point behind the ladder-leading Melbourne Storm.

The Andrew Dallalana-coached Sharks are up against a Silktails team that packs a punch despite being in 14th place, having beaten the Storm earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the Newtown Jets – Cronulla's NSW Cup partner club – will take the chance to recharge with their first bye of the season this weekend.

The Jets went down 22-16 to the Warriors in Round 14, leaving them in fifth spot.
