Rising Sharks winger Sam Stonestreet is set to miss 6-8 weeks after undergoing surgery to repair a high-grade syndesmosis injury today.
Stonestreet left the field in the 21st minute of Saturday night's 31-26 win over the Storm after twisting his right ankle awkwardly while being tackled.
The 22-year-old local junior has scored eight tries in 11 NRL games this season.
Meanwhile, centre Jesse Ramien will be assessed ahead of Saturday's clash with the Roosters after he suffered an eye injury against the Storm.
