The Sharks congratulate Tiana Penitani Gray, Emma Verran and Ellie Johnston after the star trio helped NSW secure an historic women's State of Origin series victory over Queensland last night.
With rain bucketing down at Sydney's Allianz Stadium, the Sharks representatives stood tall as the Blues ran away with a dominant 26-6 win to clinch the shield.
Penitani Gray, Verran (née Tonegato) and Johnston will go into the record books as part of the first NSW team to win a three-match women's Origin series.
It's even sweeter for Penitani Gray and Verran, who played in the Blues side that heartbreakingly lost last year's series after winning the opening game.
Johnston, meanwhile, is yet to experience defeat at Origin level after making a try-scoring debut in this year's opening clash in Brisbane a fortnight ago.

Cronulla NRLW captain Penitani Gray was sensational in her new role of five-eighth on Thursday, setting up a try and running for over 100 metres in the wet.
Johnston again laid the platform through the middle, carrying the ball for 91 metres (eight runs) and making 14 tackles without a miss in 31 minutes.
Verran, showing her versatility by coming off the bench at dummy half, churned out 68 metres (seven runs) and proved a constant threat with four tackle breaks.
She also made 23 tackles in a spirited performance.
The three Sharks will look to inspire a series whitewash when they tackle the Maroons at Newcastle's McDonald Jones Stadium on Thursday, May 29.
Fellow Cronulla star Georgia Hannaway has been included in Queensland's extended squad for both games but is yet to take to the field.
