Trials for Year 7 Endeavour Sports HS rugby league program

Talented footballers wanting to follow in the footsteps of Will Kennedy and Teig Wilton are invited to trial for Endeavour Sports High School's famed Year 7 Rugby League Targeted Sports Program for 2026.

The trials will be held in weeks one and two of the second school term this year. To register and receive more details, phone the school's office on (02) 9524 0615.

Sharks stars Kennedy and Wilton are among a long list of current NRL players to have graduated from Endeavour's rugby league program to the big time.

Others include Alex Johnston (Rabbitohs), Jamayne Isaako (Dolphins), Martin Taupau (Broncos), Reece Robson (Cowboys), Scott Sorensen (Panthers), Shaun Lane (Eels), Luciano Leilua (Dragons) and Bronson Xerri (Bulldogs).

With a long association between the Sharks and Endeavour, Cronulla's elite pathways teams are littered with students from the Caringbah-based school.

Among them are Tom Dellow, the 2024 Sharks Junior Representative Player of the Year, and Nikora Williams, who was crowned the NSW CHS Most Outstanding Male Representative across all sports last year for his schoolboy footy achievements.

The connection runs through to the school's coaching set-up, with long-time Sharks Junior Representative coach Dave Howlett and current SG Ball mentor Brad Kelly heading up Endeavour's renowned rugby league program.

Sharks NRLW captain Tiana Penitani is a girls coach at Endeavour.

While students are given world-class resources, coaching and opportunities to achieve their sporting dreams, academic performance is prioritised at Endeavour.

"Students are supported with both their studies and sport in a caring and nurturing environment, geared to bring out the best in each individual," Howlett said.

"While the rugby league program is a significant part of the schooling experience, education always comes first at Endeavour Sports High School.

"We're really proud of the link between the school and the Sharks," Howlett added.
