Jets Team List - Round 13

After making a statement by dispatching the high-flying Panthers last week, the Jets will meet an Eels team also shooting for five straight wins at CommBank Stadium on Thursday night.

Newtown, the Sharks' feeder team, continued their hot streak with a 44-6 shellacking of Penrith, who would've reclaimed top spot on the ladder had they won.

The fifth-placed Jets are now one win behind competition leaders Canberra, North Sydney and Penrith ahead of a trip to western Sydney in Round 13.

However, eighth-ranked Parramatta are only three points behind Newtown after bouncing back strongly from a 1-6 start to the season.

Kicking off at 5.20pm, the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup's two hottest teams will play before the Sharks-Eels NRL game.

First-grade squad members including Liam Ison, Billy Burns, Samuel Stonestreet and Niwhai Puru are set to turn out for the Jets again as they look to break into the top four. After a string of NRL games, Tuku Hau Tapuha is named at prop.

Influential hooker Jayden Berrell is poised to return from an elbow injury.
