Halfback Nicho Hynes has been named to play in Saturday night's Magic Round blockbuster against the Roosters as the Sharks aim to extend their winning streak to seven games.

Hynes missed last weekend's enthralling victory over the Storm after reporting calf tightness but will be given every chance to prove his fitness for Round 11.

Braydon Trindall has been included on the extended interchange, providing cover in the halves if Hynes isn't able to take his place at Suncorp Stadium.

Trindall hasn't played since Round 7 after agreeing with the club it was in his best interests to step away in the short term and prioritise his welfare.

"Braydon has pleased us with his commitment to addressing his personal matters," Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta said.

"He's been training with the squad in recent weeks and will be more than ready to play if required.

"It's been a challenging period for Braydon, but he now sees an opportunity to give back to the club through his performance on and off the field."

Tuku Hau Tapuha, who scored a powerful try after being a late inclusion in Melbourne, has retained his spot on the bench with Braden Hamlin-Uele out.

Kick-off on Saturday is at 5.30pm, with coverage on Foxtel and Kayo.
