The Sharks are pleased to announce the signing of two-time premiership-winning prop Caitlan Johnston on a multi-year NRLW contract from 2025.
Rated among the game's elite front-rowers, the 23-year-old powerhouse will join the Cronulla club from Newcastle next year on a deal running until the end of 2027.
Having made her NRLW debut for the Roosters in 2019, Johnston's list of achievements includes a World Cup title with the Jillaroos in 2022 and NSW Origin selection.
Sharks NRLW coach Tony Herman is excited to have secured a player of Johnston's calibre, with her signature indicative of the positivity and potential in the Cronulla women's program.
"This is a significant coup for our club given Caitlan has firmly established herself as one of the premier forwards in the NRLW and a terrific leader," Herman said.
"She's already scaled the heights of the game, but at 23, her best years are still ahead of her. We look forward to her coming on board in 2025 and sharing her experience."
A Windale junior who came through Newcastle's pathways system, Johnston joined the Knights at NRLW level in 2021. She played a key role in their back-to-back premierships, starting at prop in the 2022 and 2023 grand finals.
