Jets Team List - Round 7

Following a disappointing loss to the Rabbitohs at their last start the Newtown Jets will look to bounce back when they host the Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles at Henson Park on Saturday.

The Jets were at times their own worst enemies in a performance riddled with errors and ill-discipline against Souths, with the Newtown side going down to a Damien Cook-inspired Rabbitohs by 24-12 after trailing by four points at half time.

The loss dropped the Jets outside the top five on the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup ladder, ahead of their round seven match up this weekend against the Sea Eagles who sit just one point behind them on the competition table.

This week the Jets will be without Sam Stonestreet after the young winger was called up to make his NRL debut for the Sharks against the Cowboys on Sunday, while also missing will be Braden Hamlin-Uele after the experienced prop made a return from injury playing for Newtown in last Saturday’s match.

Should they hope to make a return to winning form, the Jets will be looking for strong showings from the likes of prop Tuku Hau Tapuha, back with the Jets after playing the last two games at NRL level, along with fullback Kade Dykes who played a leading hand against Souths despite being on the losing side of the ledger.

The Jets v Blacktown Workers Sea Eagles match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off on Saturday.
