Sharks secure long-term tenant for 94 Cronulla Street

The Sharks have secured a long-term tenant for their recent property acquisition at 94 Cronulla Street.

As announced at Wednesday's Annual General Meeting held at Sharks at Kareela, RILEYS, a chain of gyms currently operating in Sydney's west, has signed a 10 year x 5 x 5 lease agreement to establish a fourth club at the 94 Cronulla Street property.

Boasting a history dating back to 1981 and with gyms in Seven Hills, Wentworthville and Marsden Park, when announcing Rileys will occupy the Sharks-owned property, CEO Dino Mezzatesta was confident they had secured a strong and reputable long-term tenant.

"They've been in business for 40 years, predominantly in the western suburbs, but they are eager and keen to establish a presence in the southern suburbs," Mezzatesta said.

"They have now executed this agreement for the next 20 years in what is an exceptional outcome for our club.

"And if you look them up, you'll see what a professional organisation they are," he added.

The Sharks purchased the 94 Cronulla Street premises, formerly the Westpac Bank building, in 2023, adding it to an asset portfolio which includes the Kareela Golf Club, now Sharks at Kareela, the Sharks Leagues Club at Woolooware which is progressing towards a reopening in early 2025, and also PointsBet Stadium.

Rileys will now commence a fit out at 94 Cronulla Street, with the Sharks to communicate membership opportunities and an opening date when available.
