Taco Team List Tuesday: Sharks v Warriors

Sharks halfback Nicho Hynes and co-captain Dale Finucane have been named to face the Warriors in Friday night's season-opening clash after missing the team's final trial with minor injuries.

Hynes (quadriceps tightness) and Finucane (calf) sat out Cronulla's second NRL Pre-Season Challenge match against the Bulldogs as a precaution but have been passed fit to make the round-one trip to New Zealand on Wednesday.

Finucane is listed on the bench with fellow skipper Cam McInnes at lock.

Speaking to the media on Tuesday, Hynes said he was confident of taking the field as long as he gets through Thursday's training session in Auckland unscathed.

There are no major surprises in a formidable squad selected by coach Craig Fitzgibbon, with Braydon Trindall to continue as Hynes' halves partner after a strong pre-season which included a starring hand for the Indigenous All Stars.

Powerful forward Jack Williams will play his 100th NRL game - all of them for the Sharks - when he comes off the interchange at Go Media Stadium.

Following a trial hit-out, fullback Will Kennedy returns to a familiar backline for his first NRL clash since suffering a hamstring injury in round 22 last season.

Of those unavailable, Jesse Colquhoun (foot) is out indefinitely while Braden Hamlin-Uele (knee) and Kade Dykes (hamstring) are aiming to return in the next few weeks.

Kick-off on Friday is scheduled for 6pm AEDT (8pm local time), with the game to be broadcast live on Foxtel and Kayo.
