NSWRL TV to showcase more than 250 games to fans

NSWRL fans will be able to watch more than 250 Rugby League matches from around the state wherever they go in 2024 following the launch of a dedicated app for NSWRL TV.

The app is available today on the Apple App Store (iOS, TVOS) and Google Play Store and will showcase live matches from NSWRL Junior Representatives and Major Competitions, with users also able to access replays and round highlights.

“The NSWRL TV app is an exciting addition to our digital assets and is a great result for all Rugby League fans around NSW,” NSWRL Chief Commercial Officer Jodie Cross said.

“NSWRL TV is a wonderful platform that keeps all our stakeholders connected. The matches covered range from pathways competitions through to elite level football and will enable both families and fans to keep up to date with all the action as it unfolds.

“With Junior Representatives kicking off this weekend, I urge all our supporters to download the NSWRL TV app as soon as possible as it is shaping up to be another fantastic season for the NSWRL.”

The NSWRL competitions that will be covered include:
-    all games for the SLE Laurie Daley Cup, SLE Andrew Johns Cup, Men’s and Women’s Country Championships, and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup (regional only);
-    select matches for the UNE SG Ball Cup, Westpac Tarsha Gale Cup, UNE Harold Matthews Cup and Westpac Lisa Fiaola Cup;
-    one game a week for the Harvey Norman NSW Women’s Premiership and Leagues Clubs Australia Ron Massey Cup;
-    up to three games a week for The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup.

There are a range of packages to suit all users with single game passes starting from as little as $5.99, monthly subscriptions at $8.99, while an annual pass which will include access to more than 250 games only costing $49.99.

NSWRL TV started as a pilot program in 2020 to provide another service for NSW Rugby League fans after restrictions were understandably placed around crowds over the COVID-19 pandemic.

There were 100 games live streamed in 2021, 188 in 2022 and 207 in 2023. The average watch time last year increased by 42 per cent from 2023, while The Knock-On Effect NSW Cup Grand Final between South Sydney Rabbitohs and the North Sydney Bears was watched by almost 70,000 fans.
