Having won their trial matches in convincing style, the under-19 Tarsha Gale Sharks will aim to ride that momentum into the official season with a home victory over Wests Tigers in round one.

While they can expect a much sterner challenge at PointsBet Stadium, the Isaac Michael-coached women will take great confidence from beating the Tigers six tries to nil in an impressive pre-season display only a few weeks ago.

Meanwhile, the under-17 Lisa Fiaola side are also gearing up to face the Tigers after going down fighting three tries to one when they met in mid-January.

The Lisa Fiaola Cup was previously run as a gala day, with the 2024 season marking its first time being conducted as a week-to-week female competition.
