Coming into his 13th NRL season just two games shy of the 250 mark, battle-hardened Sharks forward Dale Finucane is excited and motivated as ever with trials now a few weeks away.

Having played a career-low 13 matches last year due to suspension and a season-ending biceps injury, the 32-year-old is fully fit and ready to fire in 2024.

Sharks Media caught up with Finucane to discuss how his body is faring, which players have stepped up as leaders following Wade Graham's retirement, the importance of continuity in the squad and the allure of a premiership.

"I feel really good, the bicep is back to where it was now, so it's feeling 100 per cent. Just excited to get to the games," Finucane said.

"It's the toughest period of the year now, training with all the fitness and all the conditioning we have to do. I think everyone is just looking forward to playing."
