Underlining the merit of the club's pathways system, all our valued Sharks Academy sponsors are back on board for 2024.
The junior representative squads are training hard ahead of a bumper season, with a promising crop of boys and girls in the Harold Matthews (under 17s), SG Ball (19s), Jersey Flegg (21s), Lisa Fiaola (17s) and Tarsha Gale Cup (19s) ranks.
While only the Harold Matthews and Jersey Flegg sides made the finals in 2023, the young Sharks again showed immense growth and potential across the board.
In a clear vote of confidence, John Ryan Freight Management will continue as the Academy's major partner, with Minespec Parts, Shore Hire, SBA Earthmoving and Attachments and Cronulla Carpets also lending their support for the coming year.
"Our Academy program aims to set the standard for the development of young talent, with the backing of our dedicated corporate partners integral to our success," Sharks Development & Pathways Manager Glenn Brailey said.
"We are extremely grateful for their continued support and look forward to another productive season for our various teams in 2024."
Experienced coaches Brad Kelly (Harold Matthews), Dave Howlett (SG Ball) and Andrew Dallalana (Jersey Flegg) remain in charge of their respective teams, while Robbie Taylor and Isaac Michael take over the Lisa Fiaola and Tarsha Gale squads.
Returning for a fifth year within their current deal as the major partner of all men's and women's Academy teams, John Ryan Freight Management will be the proud front-of-jersey sponsor.
Another long-standing partner, Minespec Parts will have their logo on the top-back of the junior jerseys for a fourth year while continuing as major sponsor of the Mermaids cheer squad and the back-of-jersey NRLW sponsor.
SBA Earthmoving and Attachments, a consistent supporter of the Sharks junior system, will feature on the jersey sleeve for a third year after renewing their deal.
Shore Hire and Cronulla Carpets have also signed on again. The former's branding will reside on the sternum of the junior jerseys for a third year - also filling the same slot for the NRLW team's second season - while the latter are on deck for a second year as a lower-back jersey sponsor.
