With their convincing win over the Wests Tigers last weekend the Jersey Flegg Sharks confirmed their participation in the competition Finals, while at the time jumping the Penrith Panthers to sit in third place on the under-21 ladder.
Their 13th win of the year has the Sharks primed to make a run at the title, with a victory over Newcastle on Sunday in the last regular season round to secure third position and a double chance in the Flegg Finals.
While the Sharks NRL, NRLW and their NSW Cup partner club the Jets, will all play the Knights at McDonald Jones Stadium, the Cronulla Flegg side is also in Newcastle for their round 26 game on Sunday, but at the nearby St Johns Oval.
Should they manage a win in Newcastle, the Sharks would likely face the Bulldogs in week one of the Finals, with the Bulldogs currently second on the ladder, four points behind the first placed Roosters.
The Flegg Finals series involves the leading five teams, the minor premiers is given a round one bye, team two plays team three in a qualifying Final, with four and five taking part in an elimination match.
However first up for the Sharks is a game against a Knights team which has been disappointing in 2023 and will miss the Finals, although they did record a big 52-10 win over Souths last week.
See below the Sharks team list and match details.
