Feeling the effects of the current Sharks injury toll, the Newtown Jets have slipped outside the top five on the Knock-On Effect NSW Cup ladder, needing a win on Saturday against the Raiders to reignite their Finals hopes.
The Jets were in the contest for most of the game before going down to Souths in their most recent outing, the loss leaving them in sixth on the ladder, making the game with the seventh placed Canberra this weekend, crucial to their hopes of pushing back into Finals contention.
The Jets have again named a team with a sprinkling of Sharks Jersey Flegg eligible players due to the injury toll being experienced by the Cronulla NRL squad, however they will be led by the extremely capable Jayden Berrell, the hooker managing to cross for two tries in the Rabbitohs loss last weekend.
The Jets v Raiders match is scheduled for a 3.00pm kick off at Henson Park on Saturday, with the Newtown team listed below.
