Madimack 'Power Players' - Round 19

A strong second half propelled the Sharks to a 36-12 win over the Tigers in Round 19.

We take a look at the Madimack 'Power Players' from the clash.

SIFA TALAKAI

Sharks centre Siosifa Talakai ran for 181 metres and broke six tackles in a dominant display on Thursday night.

Powerful in both attack and defence he muscled his way over the line for two tries off the back of two line breaks, and proved hard to handle for the Tigers defence with 42 post-contact metres.

On the other side of the ball Sifa hit with vigour on his way to 12 bone bruising tackles.

SIONE KATOA

A few weeks off the try scoring list, but Sione Katoa returned with a bang against the Tigers, completing his hat-trick with a spectacular dive into the corner on the full time siren.

Katoa on the bell

Katoa finished the night with a tick over 100 metres, a hat-trick of tries and seven tackle busts in a busy night for the Sharks winger.

BLAYKE BRAILEY

Sharks hooker Blayke Brailey was crafty on Thursday night.

His service out of dummy half was sharp and crisp, his technique in defence and some of his efforts on the Tigers big men were textbook.

He finished the night with 36 tackles to his name, 86 run metres, a try assist, a line break and three tackle busts.

His 'play of the day' coming from a long run off the back of a scoot out of dummy half in the 73rd minute, to set up Nicho Hynes for a try.

JESSE RAMIEN

The Sharks slick right side raid was on show against the Tigers, with centre Jesse Ramien playing his part in the action.

Ramien finished with one of his better stat lines this season, running for 147 metres, 55 of those post-contact, with two line break assist, two try assists, two tackle breaks and 10 tackles to his name.

CAM MCINNES

Back in the starting side at lock against the Tigers, Cam McInnes put in another performance we've all become accustomed to.

In his 52-minutes on the pitch McInnes ran for 152 metres, 43 of those post-contact with three tackle breaks.

Defensively busy and as strong as ever on his way to 37 tackles, most impressively, Mcnnes missed none.

WHAT'S NEXT?

The Sharks head across the ditch to face the high-flying Warriors in Auckland during Round 20.
