Jets downed in disappointing Roosters loss

The Newtown Jets let a match-winning lead slip in the second half of their match against the Sydney Roosters last weekend in going down 24-23 in a disappointing loss.

The Jets always appeared in control, however a converted try midway through the second half, then a 73rd minute penalty goal to their opponents put them in front and the Newtown side were unable to respond, with the loss seeing them drop one place to now be third on the KOE NSW Cup ladder.

The Jets now have a round 14 bye and are next in actin when they play the competition leading North Sydney Beas on June 11.
