Madimack 'Power Players' - Round 11

The Sharks pulled off a gritty win over the Sea Eagles on Sunday afternoon, the first time in the Clubs history that they've beaten Manly in back-to-back games at Brookvale and the first time in Club history to have beaten them three times in a row.

We take a look at thew standout stats, with the Madimack 'Power Players' from Round 11 listed below.

Sione Katoa

Sione Katoa had a day out at Manly, putting in his best performance of the season so far.

Busy in attack Katoa finished the afternoon with 183 metres, 27 of those post-contact, a line break, line break assist and 11 tackle busts as he ran riot on the Sea Eagles.

Beautiful on his feet, he earned himself a four-pointer with a smooth right foot step that sent the Sea Eagles sliding as he crossed the try line.

One of his biggest efforts coming when he leapt over the sideline to tap back into play the Manly kick for touch and send his side on the attack once more.

Briton Nikora

Without a doubt one of the in-form forwards of the competition, Briton Nikora was once again doing it all on Sunday.

The bustling runs and hard lines that have become a trademark of his game were a handful for the Manly defence, even scooting out to the wing for a play that saw him burn Tom Trbojevic down the sideline to send Jesse Ramien over for a try.

Busy in defence, Briton finished with 40 tackles to go along with his 142 run metres, line break, three tackle breaks and try assist.

The numbers Nikora is putting up are becoming the nor for the bustling back-rower.

Jesse Ramien

Jesse Ramien managed to notch up massive metres on the Manly side, providing plenty of edge and taking the pressure off his middles on Sunday.

Finishing the game with a mammoth 191 run metres, 54 of those post-contact, Ramien had no trouble handling the Sea Eagles defensive efforts.

Sending Sione over in the second half saw Ramien finish with a try assist and line break assist to his name, tough in defence across his 10 tackles.

Connor Tracey

Called into the side in place of Siosifa Talakai, Connor Tracey had big shoes to fill in his first game in the top grade for 2023, and fill them he did.

Connor's electric pace proved a handful for the Sea Eagles side, clocking in 170 metres, 49 of those post-contact as he put his best foot forward in an 80 minute performance.

Tracey bust three tackles and notched a line break assist on the afternoon, solid on the opposite side of the ball with 18 tackles to his name.

If that's the standard Connor is putting up in his first performance of the year, it will be interesting to see where he fits in moving forward.
