The Newtown Jets would have been disappointed not to secure the two points against the Sea Eagles after playing out a 22-all draw however they get their chance to make amends when they host the Newcastle Knights in a round 12 match up on Saturday.
A late Manly try and the inability of the Jets to kick what would have been a match-winning field goal contributed to the teams finishing level, with the one point seeing the Jets remain in fourth position on the Knock On Effect NSW Cup ladder.
This weekend the Jets return home to Henson Park for a game against a Knights team sitting 13th after registering just one win from 10 games played in 2023.
The likes of Sam Stonestreet, Jayden Berrell and Jesse Colquhoun were amongst those to lead the way for the Jets before Blacktown mounted their spirited comeback, with the Sharks-contracted trio again named in the Newtown squad for the Newcastle clash.
The round 12 KOE match kicks off at 3.00pm at Henson Park, with the Sharks Jersey Flegg team to play the curtain-raiser against Newcastle at 12.45pm.
