A Roosters team coming off a loss to the Storm, against a Sharks side rested up following a bye but desperate to get their season heading in a positive direction, face off in a Friday night blockbuster at PointsBet Stadium.

The Sharks would have welcomed the bye week to reassess and be ready to go again after a disappointing loss to the Warriors at their last start and with Toby Rudolf (toe injury) and Dale Finucane (3-week suspension) unavailable, coach Craig Fitzgibbon has been forced into a couple of changes for Friday’s crucial clash.

In the front row, Royce Hunt has been promoted to the starting line up for Rudolf, while Cam McInnes comes into the team in taking over from Finucane at lock.

While the key Sharks forwards will be missed, Wade Graham and Oregon Kaufusi are two significant inclusions on the interchange bench. Graham returns after serving a four-week suspension, with Kaufusi passing his concussion protocols following a head knock during the win over the Dragons and back on deck for the Roosters this weekend.

In another change to the 17 from the Warriors game, prop Tom Hazelton has been rewarded for his strong form playing in the NSW Cup for the Newtown Jets and is included on the interchange bench. Braydon Trindall is 18th man.

The Sharks v Roosters game is scheduled for a 6.00pm kick-off on Friday night, with the two 22-man squads listed below.
