Time and venue changes for Round 8 Junior Rep fixtures

The Sharks v Dragons Matthews Cup and SG Ball matches will now be played at the Sharks Academy Fields at Cronulla High School.

Matthews Cup kick off time is now 12noon, SG Ball 1.45pm.

Losses suffered by the two Sharks junior rep teams in Canberra last Saturday has set up must-win games against local rivals St George this weekend should either team hope to play any part in the upcoming competition Finals.

The Matthews Sharks had their chances but ultimately went down to the Raiders, while the Sharks SG Ball team tried hard but in the end run couldn’t get over the top of an undefeated Canberra outfit, with the two losses seeing the Cronulla teams on the outside of the top six with only two rounds remaining.

The Matthews Cup Sharks sit in seventh, while two wins would give them hope of a Finals appearance, however in the SG Ball the ninth placed Sharks are only a remote hope with nothing short of two wins and other results over the next fortnight needing to fall their way.

The round eight junior rep matches will be played at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday, the Matthews Cup game kicking off at 2.00pm, followed by the SG Ball at 3.45pm.
