The Newtown Jets, the Sharks partner club in the Knock On Effect NSW Cup, open their season with a game against Souths on Saturday.
Minor Premiers in 2022, under a new coach in George Ndaira, the Jets team features a number of players training in the Sharks full-time NRL squad, including impressive young winger Sam Stonestreet, last year's NSW Cup player of the year Kayal Iro, hooker Jayden Berrell, along with new recruits Niwhai Puru and Max Bradbury.
The Newtown v Souths game will be played at Henson Park, kicking off at 3.00pm.
