Coffs Coast return confirmed

The Sharks will return to their ‘home away from home’ for a third consecutive season, heading to the Coffs Coast in round 12 of the 2023 NRL Premiership with a fixture against the Newcastle Knights confirmed in today’s NRL draw announcement.

The match on Saturday, May 20 will mark the first time the Sharks have played a different opponent at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, having faced the Gold Coast Titans over the first two years of the regional partnership.

Bumper crowds have provided a wonderful experience for Sharks players, members, fans and for the NSW North Coast community and while the spotlight is on the game, the Sharks are committed to making a difference in the local community.

As explained by CEO Dino Mezzatesta; “The Sharks are very much looking forward to again making Coffs Harbour our home away from home and building on the success of the previous two years by playing a home game in the region.” said Mezzatesta.

“Our taking a game to Coffs for a third consecutive season isn’t all about match day, despite the challenges faced around Covid restrictions over the past two years we have still been able to engage with the community, have experienced great local support and our fans embrace the opportunity to travel to the region and we know that connection with the Coffs Coast community will grow and continue into 2023.”

City of Coffs Harbour Mayor Councillor Paul Amos said Knights fans are going to be in for a treat. “Where else in regional NSW can you enjoy spectacular sporting facilities right where the mountains meet the sea as you can at the C.ex Coffs International Stadium?"

"The Sharks and their supporters have made the Coffs Coast and the Stadium their home away from home for very good reasons – and we’re really looking forward to welcoming them back. I’m sure we can guarantee another sell-out and a fantastic experience.”

Coffs Coast Memberships are being offered once again in 2023, guaranteeing a ticket to the game, including entry to watch the Captain’s run the day prior to the match.

Memberships will go on sale next Tuesday, November 15, but for those eager to snap up their membership early you can click here to express your interest and gain exclusive 24 hour access to 2023 packages on Monday, November 14.

Now that the Sharks have the draw and with dates locked in, plan your travel to the beautiful Coffs Coast and make a weekend of it.  Further details will be communicated to members and fans when they become available, with Sharks members having priority on match ticketing.
