2023 NRL Draw revealed

The 2023 NRL draw has been revealed, with the Sharks opening their year at home with a Saturday night blockbuster on March 4, when they face the South Sydney Rabbitohs at PointsBet Stadium before hitting the road in rounds two and three.

A trip out west to face the Eels at Commbank Stadium will be the first of the two away games to open the season, with a visit to the Nation's Capital to take on the Canberra Raiders the Sharks round three fixture.

The home schedule features plenty of high-profile opponents in the Rabbits, Roosters, Sea Eagles and Cowboys, while Sharks fans again have the opportunity to travel with the team for our two ‘home’ games, taking place during Brisbane’s Magic Round and our return to the Coffs Coast for a regional clash.

This year the Sharks will face a new opponent for the first time at C.ex Coffs International Stadium, with the Newcastle Knights booked in for a Saturday afternoon kick off at 3:00pm on May 20.

The first time the Sharks face the NRL’s newest franchise in the Dolphins will take place at Suncorp Stadium during NRL Magic Round in round 10. The two teams locked in for the Saturday afternoon slot on May 6.

Cronulla will notch up 19,158 kilometres in travel in 2023, the most notable away game our return to New Zealand on July 16 to face the New Zealand Warriors in round 20, as well as a trip across the country to tackle the Rabbitohs in round 23 at Optus Stadium in Perth.

The revamped 17-team competition will mean the Sharks have three byes, with the first to come in round 6 during the easter weekend, followed up with byes in rounds 13 and 17. They will square off with the Panthers, Eels, Storm and Roosters just once during the 2023 season.

In a boost for sponsors and fans alike, the 2023 draw sees the Sharks play 11 free-to-air games.
