Taco Team List Tuesday – Finals Week 2

It was a thrilling finish however the result didn’t go the way the Sharks were hoping as they went down in overtime to the North Queensland Cowboys in their qualifying Finals clash last weekend.

A Valentine Holmes field goal sealed the victory for the visiting Cowboys, sending the Sharks into a sudden-death Finals match up with Souths in a game to played at Allianz Stadium on Saturday.

The Sharks battled for 93 minutes before going down to the Cowboys, although despite the physical nature of the contest, all 17-players involved have appeared to come through unscathed with no changes to the team to tackle Souths reported to this point.

For Will Kennedy, Toby Rudolf, Dale Finucane and Connor Tracey, it was their first games back after extended periods on the sideline, with all expected to be better for the outing last Saturday.

Coach Craig Fitzgibbon has stuck solid with his team, the only alteration coming to the extended reserves list, with Matt Ikuvalu unavailable after suffering a serious knee injury while playing for the Newtown Jets on Saturday in their Finals match against the Panthers.

Luke Metcalf has also been omitted, his place taken by Braydon Trindall who has missed the past two matches following an appendicitis, with Mawene Hiroti the other player added to the extended reserves list.

The Sharks v Souths game is scheduled for an 8pm kick-off at Allianz Stadium on Saturday, with the Sharks squad listed below.
