Late Mail - Sharks v Bulldogs

The Sharks were reporting no changes from the team announced yesterday for their game against the Bulldogs at PointsBet Stadium later today.

Matt Ikuvalu was a late withdrawal from the team when injured at training yesterday, his place to be taken by the Sharks fifth debutant for the 2022 season in Kayal Iro, the Cook Islands International to become Shark #555 when he takes to the field for the round 24 match today.

Iro will play on the wing and in jersey 21.

In another late change, Dale Finucane came out of the Sharks 17 yesterday due to a rib cartilage issue, his place in the starting side taken by Cameron McInnes, with Brayden Trindall added to the interchange bench.

Otherwise, the Sharks team is as selected on Tuesday, with Siosifa Talakai returning after missing the last two matches with a shoulder problem, while Lochie Miller retains his place at fullback after a strong performance in the Sharks win over the Sea Eagles last weekend.

Today’s match, while crucial as the Sharks look to wrap up a top four berth, is also significant with Andrew Fifita and Aiden Tolman to play their final home games at PointsBet Stadium.

The Sharks v Bulldogs match is scheduled for a 5.30pm kickoff, with the two 17-man squads listed below.
