Finucane to challenge match review charge

The Sharks will head to the NRL judiciary tomorrow night to plead not guilty to the level three dangerous contact charge levelled against Dale Finucane.

The Sharks lock was charged by the match review committee following a tackle on Panthers centre Stephen Crichton, for a tackle, with occurred in the 72nd minute of the Sharks match against Penrith.

Finucane wasn’t penalised by the on-field officials relating to the incident, nor was any action taken when reviewed by the video referee on the night.

Should Finucane be found guilty at the judiciary hearing he will be suspended for three matches.

The Sharks play Souths, St George Illawarra and the Wests Tigers over the next three weeks.
