2022 NRL Draw announced

The 2022 NRL season draw has been revealed, with the Sharks opening their year on the road when they play Canberra, returning home for a match-up with the Eels in their first game at PointsBet Stadium in round two, before following up with a clash against traditional rivals the Dragons in Wollongong on a Thursday night in week three.

It is a home schedule featuring high profile opponents the Roosters, Sea Eagles and Rabbitohs, while Sharks fans again have the opportunity to give a rousing reception to bitter rivals the Melbourne Storm when they play host on a Thursday night in July.

The Sharks will rack up the frequent flyer points with trips to Brisbane (three times, Magic Round and v Warriors in Redcliffe included), Melbourne, Townville and the Gold Coast, with regional matches in Coffs Harbour (Sharks home game v Titans) and Tamworth (v Tigers)

The Sharks bye comes in round 13 in the week leading into Origin game 1, with the Panthers, Eels and Broncos amongst the teams they have drawn to play just once during the 2022 season.

It is a draw which sees the Sharks play four times on a Thursday night, twice at home and twice away, only once on a Friday and 11 times on a Saturday (6 home matches, 5 away).

Mark down in the diary round 19 when the Sharks play the defending premiers the Panthers in an away match in Penrith, and the round 21 local derby game at home, which is likely to see PointsBet Stadium filled to capacity on a rocking Saturday night in the Shire.

Round 12 is another match not to be missed, with the Roosters coming to PointsBet for a Saturday evening match where the NRL will celebrate indigenous round.

And members and fans looking to make a weekend of it and travel with the team, the Sharks are again taking a game to Coffs Harbour in 2022 following the outstanding success of that regional fixture last year.

The Sharks will again play the Titans, with the game to be contested in round 15, kicking off at 3.00pm, on Saturday, June 18.
