It’s ‘Zam Good’ for Zambrero in Cronulla

Retired Sharks legend Paul Gallen and current club captain Wade Graham gave it their tick of approval when dropping by for lunch earlier this week, with Sutherland Shire residents and visitors to the area now having the opportunity to join them in enjoying Zambrero’s fresh and flavoursome offerings.

The international restaurant chain, with locations in all states of Australia and around the world, came on board as the Club’s back of jersey partner for the 2021 and 2022 seasons, and now with their latest store opening, at 93 Cronulla Street in the Cronulla Mall, the partnership with the Sharks, their members, fans and the Shire has become ‘official’.

“Cronulla's iconic beaches and youthful population make for the perfect location for our team to roll the best burritos in town and I am very excited to announce the opening of our latest Zambrero restaurant in Cronulla,” Zambrero CEO Matthew Kenny expressed.

“Zambrero is a proud supporter of the Cronulla Sharks and is excited to be able to share our great food with all of the Sharks and their wonderful supporters,” he added.

Food which is slow cooked, but served fast, including vegan and vegetarian options, all with the customer in mind, Zambrero is ready to service Cronulla.

From humble beginnings in Canberra, Zambrero has evolved into a serious player in the highly competitive quick service restaurant market and is set to be a welcome addition to the local area.

While producing quality meals is their staple, Zambrero is also about giving back, as outlined by Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta when announcing the two-year jersey partnership back in February, with their charity contributions an equally significant part of the business.

“Zambrero is understandably best recognised for its food, however possibly less well known is their commitment to community through their Plate 4 Plate initiative, which has seen Zambrero donate more than 45 million meals to those in need,” Mezzatesta said, with that number now exceeding 51 million.

They call it ‘Feel Good Mex’ for a reason, by choosing to eat at Zambrero, each meal makes a difference, as with every purchase of a regular burrito or bowl, they donate a meal to someone in need on the customer's behalf.

Otherwise Sharks members and fans of the Shire, just follow the lead of Wade and Gal and visit Zambrero Cronulla sometime soon.
