Injury update - Johnson to miss Magic Round clash

Shaun Johnson is set to miss the Sharks Magic Round clash with Souths after suffering a minor hamstring strain at training on Tuesday.

Johnson hasn't travelled to Queensland with the Sharks for this weekend's round of matches, however it is hoped the injury will only see him sidelined for a period of one to two weeks.

The game was set to be Johnson's 200th NRL appearance.

The injury to Johnson opens the door for Matt Moylan to be added to the Sharks starting line-up, although with two training sessions still to be held prior to Saturday's game, coach Josh Hannay is yet to make final decisions as to the make up of his team.

The Sharks will also be without Jesse Ramien for the game against Souths after the centre suffered a fractured eye-socket last weekend in the loss to the Panthers.

Ramien will be out of action for between four and six weeks.

In other team news, Andrew Fifita returns from a four-game suspension and has been named on the Sharks interchange bench. It will be his first game in the top grade in 2021.
