Taco Team List Tuesday

A Sharks team without a number of their high-profile stars, heads to Penrith on Friday night to tackle the ladder-leading Panthers in a round 9 match.

The Panthers remained undefeated for 2021 with a victory over Manly in Bathurst last weekend, while the Sharks lost to the Storm at their most recent appearance, Melbourne over-running the Cronulla side in a lop-sided second half.

In team news for the Sharks, Braden Hamlin-Uele has joined the lengthening list of players on the sideline, with the front rower suffering a syndesmosis ankle sprain, one that is likely to keep him off the field for a period of up to eight weeks.

The Sharks team as selected by coach Josh Hannay will include experienced campaigners Aaron Woods and Aiden Tolman in the front row, with Teig Wilton dropping back to fill an interchange role due to the return of centre Jesse Ramien.

In some positive news, Ramien has been named to take his place in the team after missing the Storm match with a glute strain, with Matt Moylan, out for the past two matches with a quad issue, chosen on an extended reserves list.

Will Chambers has been retained in the Cronulla team in the centres following his debut appearance for the club last weekend.

The Sharks and Panthers do battle at 6.00pm at BlueBet Stadium on Friday night.
