Round 4 – Aramex Man of the Match

The votes are in and Sharks members and fans have had their say, with Chad Townsend the popular choice as the Aramex Man of the Match in the win over the Cowboys.

Townsend returned to his best form, laying on three of the eight tries with deft kicks or skilful lead up play, while also kicking eight goals from eight attempts, the Sharks half back attracting 34 per cent of the fan Vote as his teams best in round four.

Also impressive and recognised by the fans for his efforts was Will Kennedy, the Sharks fullback continuing his outstanding start to the 2021 season.

Kennedy scored two tries, taking his tally to five four-pointers from the four matches played, while having a hand in a couple of others in the eight-try rout, in what was another stand out performance from the young number one. Kennedy polled 30 per cent of the fan vote.

While another who continues shine, albeit in a handful of different positions, was Connor Tracey, the local product starting the game at left centre, before being shifted to the wing with the injuries to Josh Dugan and Ronaldo Mulitalo.

Tracey eared 12 per cent of the vote, with Blayke Brailey, Matt Moylan and Toby Rudolf others to poll votes after being singled out for their role in the big Sharks win.

With his two points, Kennedy maintains top spot on the Aramex Fan Vote Man of the Match table.
