The Tarsha Gale Sharks will now head into the last round looking for a win to ensure their place in the competition finals after going down by 26-8 to the St George Dragons in a match played at Mascot Oval on Good Friday.

The Sharks were outplayed by the St George side for most of the match, conceding six tries while managing just two of their own, to leave themselves in sixth place on the ladder with a game against the Eels on the last weekend of the regular season.

The Dragons took a comfortable 16-0 lead to half time and while the Sharks gave themselves some encouragement when Tayla Curtis scored just after the break, the St George team would go on with the job in the second period.

Chloe Boston was the other Shark to get her name on the scoresheet with a try five minutes before full time.

The final round game between the Sharks and Eels, which is a make up match due to the washed out weekend of two weeks ago, is scheduled for PointsBet Stadium next Saturday.

The Sharks are currently sixth on the Tarsha Gale table, with six teams to qualify for the Finals series.
