Sharks at Kareela ‘front and centre’

There has been speculation and rumour, Sharks chief Dino Mezzatesta may have revealed the plan in a monthly CEO Update, now it can be confirmed, with Sharks NRL jerseys set to go on sale over the Christmas period and into the New Year featuring distinctive new branding.

With the news long term commercial partner Ace Gutters Durakote Roofing has come to the end of their sponsorship term, the Sharks will now showcase their newest home base, Sharks at Kareela, on the front of their NRL jerseys.

While continuing to work towards securing a major partner ahead of the kick-off to the 2021 season, the Sharks were committed to providing members and fans with an attractive product for purchase going into the Christmas retail period and for the start of the 2021 season.

“The motivation was twofold, firstly to heighten the awareness of the amalgamation and to confirm our commitment to Sharks at Kareela, but to also produce a jersey for sale which looks fantastic and is one I’m sure our members and fans will love and be keen to purchase,” Sharks CEO Dino Mezzatesta said recently in a members update.

“(However) while announcing this unique development and revealing this great-looking jersey, we can certainly assure members that our management and commercial department are working diligently in pursuit of a major partner for the 2021 season and beyond,” he added.

The Sharks at Kareela club has been hailed an outstanding success since opening its doors in late June under the leadership of General Manager Elie Bassil, capably assisted by his dedicated staff.

Existing Sharks Leagues Club members, who automatically became Sharks at Kareela members, have embraced the amalgamation and patronised the new premises in encouraging numbers, while Kareela Golf and members from the previous entity Sporties at Kareela, have also been positive in their reactions to the takeover and the subtle changes implemented.

The Sharks at Kareela, Sharks NRL jerseys are on their way, with pre-order and on-line purchases now available and stock expected in store over the coming days and available for purchase online from this afternoon.

Stay tuned for further announcements, with new training apparel and a full range of 2021 Sharks merchandise items to also go on sale from this afternoon.
