2021 Regional Matches

A Sunshine Coast clash with the Cowboys during Easter and a battle with the Titans in Coffs Harbour on the NSW North Coast, are two of the features of the just-released 2021 Sharks NRL draw.

The Sharks will also be the ‘home’ team for the NRL’s Magic Round in Brisbane, where they will play Souths at an event where all 16 NRL clubs compete at the same venue, on the same weekend.

All three matches come in the first half of the season, with the Sharks regional fans having three opportunities to see their team in action, in person, in 2021.

First up is the Sharks v Cowboys at Sunshine Coast Stadium in a match scheduled for a 5.30pm kick off on Saturday, April 3.

Held at the start of the school holidays and during the Easter period, the game is certain to attract plenty of interest from the Sharks large contingent of Queensland fans.

Magic Round at Suncorp Stadium is round 10, with the Sharks and Rabbitohs game the 5.30pm fixture on Saturday, May 15, while just two weeks later the Sharks head north, the Titans travel south, then meet somewhere in the middle for a round 12 match up in Coffs Harbour on Sunday, May 30.

As explained by CEO Dino Mezzatesta; “This is a wonderful opportunity for the Sharks in that these games give us a chance to play in front of our regional fans who might not otherwise be able to watch our team play in person.

“It allows us to expand our brand and to hopefully win over a few more fans on the NSW North Coast and in Queensland, while I’m hoping plenty of Sharks members and supporters from Sydney make a weekend of it and travel up to either Coffs or the Sunshine Coast.”

Now following the release of the draw and with dates locked in, travel and ticketing packages will be arranged, with details to be communicated to members and fans when they become available.

These games also represent the perfect opportunity for regional fans to sign up to a 2021 Country Interstate Membership, with Sharks members having priority on match ticketing.

Further information on game day ticketing will also be communicated when available.
