The Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership Sharks jumped into top spot on the competition ladder with a win last weekend and now they will go about trying to defend top spot when they tackle the second-placed Central Coast Roosters on Saturday.
The Sharks scored four tries to one in a win over the Tigers last week to remain undefeated, while Central Coast slipped with a draw against Wentworthville, relinquishing the ladder lead to the Cronulla side in setting up a round six match up which could likely determine the minor premiership.
Coach Glenn Brailey has limited the changes to his Sharks squad, with the representative halves combination of Corban McGregor and Maddie Studdon again tasked with the responsibility of steering the young Cronulla team around.
Forwards Kaala Cowan and Talei Holmes have also been in strong form for the Sharks with Brailey to be encouraging more of the same from the pair in this week’s crucial game.
The Sharks v Roosters clash is scheduled for a 1pm kick off on Saturday at the Sharks Academy Fields at Cronulla High School.
