The Sharks have enjoyed some stirring victories in their 50-plus year history however Friday night's win in Brisbane might rank right up there amongst the best.
Down eight points with around 10 minutes remaining, without a handful of their most experienced players, Wade Graham, Aaron Woods and Shaun Johnson the only members of the 17-man squad to have played more than 50 NRL games, the Sharks rallied in spectacular fashion.
Match Highlights: Broncos v Sharks
Graham, the Sharks inspirational captain jumped on a loose ball to swing momentum in his teams favour, try-scoring freak Sione Katoa crossed on the back of the Bronco turnover and two more four pointers in the closing moments sealed a 10-point win to keep the Sharks entrenched in the top eight while pushing for a place in the top four.
As mentioned the Captain was outstanding, leading from the front, Johnson continued his consistent form coming into the game late when the result was in the balance when it mattered most and Woods was a tower of strength in the middle of the field in his 200th NRL appearance.
Then there was Siosifa Talakai, the Sharks new recruit was sensational with his powerful charges and the two debutants Jackson Ferris and Braydon Trindall certainly played their part in the Sharks win.
