Nikora accepts one-match ban

Sharks backrower Briton Nikora will miss this Saturday's local derby clash after accepting a one-match ban for a shoulder charge from the game against the Warriors.

Nikora was charged for a tackle on Warriors half back Blake Green in the 22nd minute of the Sharks confidence boosting win.

Nikora will miss just one game and accumulate 50 carry over points.

And in injury news stemming from Sunday’s game, Scott Sorensen will undergo scans to determine the extent of a knee problem which forced him from the field just 19 minutes into the match.

Sharks medical staff are optimistic the injury isn’t serious and won’t keep him sidelined long term, however it leaves Sorensen in doubt for this weekend’s game.

There were no other injury issues reported from the Warriors win, while Matt Moylan and Andrew Fifita are continuing their rehab and recovery and looking to be available for the Sharks round 13 match against the Eels.
