Sharks to continue the 'Fight for Fine' at Manly trial

While the primary focus of the PNG trial this weekend will be to run an eye over his emerging talent, Sharks coach John Morris is set to unleash the majority of his NRL stars in his teams’ final trial match where the Cronulla club will continue with its ‘Fight for Fine’ fundraising efforts.

The likes of Shaun Johnson, Jesse Ramien, Chad Townsend, Wade Graham, Aaron Woods and Briton Nikora will be amongst those in line to take the field for the match against the Manly Sea Eagles on Sunday, March 1, in what will be the Sharks last tune up before their round one clash with Souths.

Matt Moylan, Andrew Fifita and Braden Hamlin-Uele will also be looking to prove their fitness prior to the start of the NRL season and are pushing hard to be included in the team to tackle the Sea Eagles in a game which will be played at Netstrata Jubilee Stadium.

The game also provides Sharks members and fans the opportunity to familiarise themselves with Netstrata Jubilee, their new home for the 2020 season, with Sharks Membership staff also on hand for all membership enquiries.

The Sharks v Manly trial will kick-off at 6.00pm and is a stand-alone game, with lower grade trials involving the Newtown Jets and the Cronulla Jersey Flegg side to be played at Henson Park (Flegg v manly at 12 noon, Jets v Blacktown Workers 2.00pm)

Cost of entry to the game will be a gold coin donation, with 100 percent of the proceeds going to the Fight For Fine fundraising efforts.

Player jerseys are currently being actioned – CLICK HERE to make a bid – while a GoFundMe page has also been set up to support the young front rower who is battling brain cancer. CLICK HERE to make a donation.

A bar and a food and beverage outlet will be operational on the day and the Sharks Membership team and Merchandise van will be on site.
