Sharks young gun Ronaldo Mulitalo will miss his teams week one finals match against the Sea Eagles after taking the early guilty plea on a grade one shoulder charge.
Mulitalo was charged for a hit on Tigers half back Luke Brooks in the 17th minute of the match, with the tackle attracting 180 points for an early guilty plea, 240 points if he challenges at a judiciary hearing.
The Sharks accepted the penalty, which sees the 19-year-old, who was amongst his teams best in the win over the Tigers, miss one game rather than two if he was to be unsuccessful in challenging at judiciary and having the charge dismissed.
The loss of Mulitalo was the only negative to come from the Sharks impressive win over the Tigers on Sunday, with the Cronulla side qualifying for the Finals on the back of the victory.
Sharks coach John Morris will have a couple of options up his sleeve in relation to a replacement, with Matt Moylan a chance of returning, hence forcing something of a backline reshuffle, while Sione Katoa and Aaron Gray will also be in contention for a call up.
The Sharks team take on the Manly Sea Eagles on Saturday at Lottoland, kicking off at 7.50pm, will be announced today.
