Jersey Flegg Team List - Sharks v Rabbitohs

A narrow 12-10 loss to the Bulldogs, their third defeat in a row, has the Jersey Flegg Sharks desperate for a win this weekend to reignite their premiership challenge when they host the South Sydney Rabbitohs in a round 20 match at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday.

The Sharks battled their way back into the contest last weekend after conceding a start to the Bulldogs, the loss seeing them relinquish top spot on the ladder.

Down 12-0 midway through the first half the Sharks had their chances but couldn’t get over the top of their opponents late in the game, with the teams finishing two tries apiece, with goal kicking proving the difference.

With only one loss prior to round 16, the Flegg Sharks have been first on the competition table almost since their opening game, however they now trail the Roosters by a point, making Saturday’s match an important one as the push for top four positions ramps up over the closing rounds.

The game against Souths will be the first meeting between the two teams this season, with the Rabbitohs coming into the contest on the back of a 28-18 win over the Dragons last weekend.

The Jersey Flegg match between the Sharks and Souths will be the curtain raiser to the NRL game featuring the same two clubs, with kick off scheduled for 5.05pm.

Gates to PointsBet Stadium open at 5.00pm
