HNWP Team List - Sharks v CRL Newcastle

A solid win over Saint Mary’s last weekend has the Sharks Harvey Norman Women’s Premiership team primed for another do-or-die assignment when they tackle the CRL Newcastle team in a Grand Final qualifying clash on Saturday.

The Sharks were too good in accounting for Saints 28-12 but face a stern test this time around against a Newcastle side which earned a week off with a strong win over Norths in the first round of the finals.

Sharks coach Glenn Brailey has named a team with a mixture of youth and experience, with Jillaroo Corban McGregor to lead the team from fullback, Maddie Studdon at halfback and Origin and international prop Ruan Sims in the middle.

On the flip side, the coach will be hoping for the youthful exuberance of Lynda Howarth, Jaime Chapman, Tegan Dymock and Zali Fay, all four having played in the Sharks Under-18 Tarsha Gale team in 2019, to rub off on their more experienced teammates.

The Sharks v Newcastle Grand Final qualifying match is scheduled for an 11.30am kick-off at Leichhardt Oval on Saturday, with a Sharks 20-player squad listed below.
