With his three-tries in the losing cause, Josh Morris has been recognised for by Sharks fans for his efforts as the round 16 Player of the Match from last Sunday’s game against the Broncos.
Morris was on the spot to claim the three four-pointers in the space of 10 minutes during the second half, while making a strong contribution to the team performance from the unfamiliar position of left wing.
In polling 39 per cent of the vote, Morris claims the three points in the player of the year poll, taking him to five points on the year.
The ever-consistent Chad Townsend continued his outstanding 2019 season in receiving 35 per cent of the vote to poll two-points, while hard-working young lock Jack Williams came in third in the weekly poll to collect the one point.
