FAN POLL | Round 10 Man of the Match

It was a tough afternoon at the office for the Cronulla Sharks, landing on the wrong side of a 24-14 scoreline at PointsBet Stadium on Sunday.

Although the result was an unwanted one, a handful of the Sharks contingent stood up when they needed to be counted.

Jayden Brailey looked dangerous with every touch, jumping from dummy-half on a number of occasions to test the Manly forwards and crossing for what looked like a try only to be denied by the video ref on review.

Bench forwards Braden Hamlin-Uele and Jack Williams came on and lifted the Sharks, both players creating an impact with rampaging carries and strong defensive efforts.

Hamlin-Uele a stand-out, running hard and straight to trouble the defence, earning himself a try off the back of a cheeky quick tap.

The ever consistent Matt Prior was once again a force in the frontline, coming painfully close to scoring late in the second half as well.

Chad Townsend, revealed to be in doubt right up until kickoff on Sunday due to a bulging back disc that recurred during Saturday's captains run, was the reliable No.7 Sharks fans have come to expect in 2019, and Back-rower Kurt Capewell also played on with a dislocated finger that broke the skin.
