Nikora charged by match review

Sharks youngster Briton Nikora has been charged with a lifting tackle and is danger of missing his teams next match against the Broncos next Saturday night.

Amongst the Sharks most consistent performers so far this season, Nikora has been charged with a grade one dangerous throw for a tackle on Panthers back rower Villiame Kikau in the 13th minute of the first half.

The base penalty for the charge is 100 points however due to Nikora having loading due to a previous incident dating back to 2017, he would accumulate 112 points with an early guilty plea and miss one game.

Should he challenge at judiciary and fail to have the charge dismissed, Nikora would accumulate 150 points and still miss just the one game.

The loss of Nikora would be a blow to the Sharks with the rookie in outstanding form through the opening six rounds of the season.

The Sharks will have until Monday to consider their options and to submit a plea.
