While Aaron Woods will be missing from the line-up to take on the Roosters at PointsBet Stadium on Saturday night, the Sharks are hopeful of having skipper Paul Gallen and halfback Shaun Johnson available with the pair named in the 21-man squad.
Johnson was a late withdrawal from the team to play the Eels last weekend, a leg injury ruling him out less than an hour before kick-off, with Gallen taken out of the team prior to Captain’s run last Friday.
The pair are back on the training paddock this week in what would be a welcome return.
The news on Aaron Woods during the week wasn’t as positive, with the international front rower breaking a bone in his foot and set to be sidelined for an extended period.
Otherwise the Sharks team to play the Roosters see youngster Bronson Xerri retain his place in the side after a promising debut last weekend, Josh Dugan again named at fullback with Matt Moylan unavailable due to a hamstring tear.
